Astor, Hontoon Island, Lake Harney, Stone Island and riverfront areas near DeLand could see water cover roads and limit access to homes. Evacuations aren't recommended right now. We suggest stocking several days of food, water, prescriptions and pet food, just in case.

A filled sandbag can weigh more than 30 pounds, so bring a helper. Boaters will find idle-speed, no-wake restrictions in several areas, set by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, because wakes can push water onto shorelines.
